Centre Manager

  • Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
“I enjoy learning alongside children, following their interests, and supporting experiences that spark their curiosity and excitement while helping them develop a strong sense of belonging.”

I have been working in early childhood education since 2011. Over the past 15 years, I have progressed into the role of Centre Manager, driven by my passion for teaching children and building positive relationships with families from the moment they walk through our doors.

Throughout my career, I have learned that every child is unique and benefits from an individual approach to learning. I enjoy learning alongside children, following their interests, and supporting experiences that spark their curiosity and excitement while helping them develop a strong sense of belonging.

Children learn naturally from one another through shared experiences and guided support. In an early learning environment, these opportunities help children build confidence, social skills, and a lifelong love of learning.

I’m proud to lead a long-standing team that works collaboratively and communicates effectively to provide a welcoming and supportive environment for children and families.

Building strong relationships with families is at the heart of my approach. I strive to be approachable, supportive, and available to listen, working in partnership with families to ensure every child feels safe, valued, and supported.

I look forward to welcoming your family to our Roxburgh Park childcare centre.

Educational Leader

  • Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood)
“I design learning spaces that encourage freedom, autonomy, and movement, ensuring children have opportunities to develop social-emotional skills, problem-solving abilities, and confidence.”

I have over a decade of experience as an Early Childhood Teacher and 10 years as an Educational Leader. Throughout my career, I have been passionate about creating a nurturing, safe, and stimulating learning environment, where children feel empowered to explore, take risks, and become independent, lifelong learners.

I believe that all children are capable learners, and my role as an educator is to provide the right environment and support to help them thrive. I design learning spaces that encourage freedom, autonomy, and movement, ensuring children have opportunities to develop social-emotional skills, problem-solving abilities, and confidence in their own capabilities. Understanding that every child learns differently, I apply varied teaching strategies such as scaffolding, modelling, and facilitating to accommodate individual needs and learning styles.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my role is teaching children about body safety, boundaries, and consent in a respectful and age-appropriate way. I take pride in working alongside families to foster a consistent approach between home and school, helping children feel secure and supported in their development. Being part of the early childhood sector has been a transformative, rewarding, and joyful experience, and I feel privileged to play a role in shaping young children’s learning and growth every day.

See more As a parent, finding a place where you feel truly comfortable leaving your child is never easy—but Community Kids Roxburgh Park has exceeded all of our expectations. Our 18-month-old daughter has been attending the centre for a little while now, and we couldn’t be happier with the care, attention, and love she receives each day. From our very first visit, the staff made us feel welcome and reassured. The educators are nurturing, patient, and genuinely invested in each child’s development. We’ve seen our daughter grow in confidence, curiosity, and social skills in such a short time. She’s excited to walk through the doors each morning, which speaks volumes. The learning environment is clean, safe, and thoughtfully set up with age-appropriate activities that keep her engaged and stimulated. We love how the educators incorporate music, sensory play, and outdoor time into the daily routine. The updates through the app also give us peace of mind—we love receiving photos and notes about what she’s been up to throughout the day. What really stands out is the strong sense of community. Communication with the team is always open and friendly, and they take the time to understand and accommodate each child’s individual needs and personality. We are so grateful to have found a centre like this. It’s comforting to know our daughter is in such caring hands, and we look forward to watching her continue to thrive at Community Kids Roxburgh Park.

Frequently asked questions

A centre tour is a convenient way to experience the childcare centre of your choice and meet with our qualified educators at a time that is suitable for your family’s schedule. Click here to book a tour online.

On the day of the tour, you can observe practices and interactions within the centre environment. You’ll be able to see all the rooms and playgrounds, ask the team members any questions you have in mind, and get all the information you need to make the best decision for your child.

Enrolling is simple, and our Family Support Team will guide you through each step.

First, find your local centre and book a tour so you can meet the team and explore the learning environment. If the centre is the right fit and a place is available, you’ll receive an enrolment offer for your child. If a place is not currently available in your child’s age group, we can add your child to the waitlist and keep you updated.

To finalise your enrolment, you’ll complete an online enrolment form through a secure link sent by our Family Support Team. You’ll also need to provide key details and documents, including your child’s birth certificate, Medicare details, immunisation history statement and, if eligible, your Child Care Subsidy details.

Before your child’s first day, you may be invited to attend a Stay and Play session. This gives your child time to explore the centre, meet their educators, and start feeling comfortable in their new environment. Once your paperwork is complete, your child is ready to start their early learning journey with us.

Read our step-by-step guide on how to enrol here.

Starting child care is a big milestone, and a little preparation can help your child feel more comfortable and confident.

Before your child’s first day, you can talk positively about their new centre, explain what their day might look like, and practise small routines such as packing their bag, saying goodbye, washing hands and sitting down for meals. You may also like to visit the centre with your child, meet their educators and ask our team about what to bring on the first day.

When your child starts, our educators will take the time to get to know your child’s routine, interests, comfort items and individual needs. Settling in looks different for every child, so we work closely with families to help children feel safe, supported and ready to learn.

Learn more about our Settling-in Program.

Most of our child care and early education centres offer nappies and wipes, sunscreen and hats, as well as nutritious meals prepared by our in-house cook. Some centres also provide sheets and formula, so you may not need to remember to pack them.

For nursery children, be sure to bring: nappy rash cream, dummies, bottles and teats, comfort toys or blankets, three spare outfits and spare socks.

For toddlers and preschool or kindergarten-aged children, it’s best to bring: spare underwear, water bottle or sippy cup, sun hat, closed-toe shoes, two spare outfits and spare socks.

Plus, anything else your individual child may need, such as breast milk, a sleeping bag, a comforter or medication.

It’s best to speak to your centre of choice for a full list of everything included.

Community Kids uses Xplor Home as our family communication app. It is the best and easiest way to keep track of your child’s day.

After you enrol your child with the centre, you can utilise Xplor Home to book child care days, manage your account, receive the photographs that capture your child’s learning, learn about your child’s progress, as well as keep up-to-date with upcoming centre events and important information.

If your child shows signs of an infectious illness when they arrive at the centre or becomes sick during the day, you may be notified that you need to make alternative arrangements or pick up your child from the centre and keep them home until they are no longer infectious. While we understand that this can be inconvenient, Community Kids is committed to maintaining a healthy environment and reducing the risk of infection for all children.

Under the Child Care Subsidy (CCS), families are allowed 42 absence days per child, per financial year. These can be taken for any reason, including public holidays and when children are sick, without requiring families to provide documentation.

What our families are saying:

“The transition between centres was made easy by the warm and welcoming team. My children are always happy at pick-up, with so much to share about their day!”
